The stories are an interesting reflection of different ways people have tried to cope with difficult times throughout history.

This witty picture book is a bittersweet walk down memory lane as a neighborhood realizes that an old phone booth really is important amidst a sea of cell phones. Such a nice story as students continue their New York City study.
