So a few of us die-hard fans read the 5th in the series of Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin on July 12, 2011, the book’s publication date. (Others came and read the earlier volumes to catch up with the series.) A memorable experience to say the least. And it’s wonderful that after 5 years of long wait, the book proves to be QUITE good! We read in the Library’s Reading Room, at Shake Shack, and also Barnes&Noble (where we were treated as annoying and loud plagued gnomes and we just couldn’t stay too long…) The day started about 9:00 a.m. and ended at 8:30 p.m.
