Inca Llama and Alpaca— Sketch #1

Did everyone have such elaborate offerings/votives or would this type of object be more specific to the upper class? Did everyone give offerings to the gods?

We know the llama with its red coat had religious significance during ceremonies, but why an alpaca? Did the animal have any special significance?

Were these two sculptures part of a set, or just the two of them, or found separately? What relation do they have to each other? Were they created by the same artist or found at the same site?

Were these votives made for a specific kind of god? If so, what was the god like? For instance, was it a god of animals, thus explaining the subject of the sculptures? Did the god need constant offerings to appease him/her?

You have done a nice job making sure that your questions are not vague. I especially like question 4 because it offers an interesting perspective on your object. However, I think you should consider combining some of your questions, so this way not too many smaller questions will be presented in one broad question. Your drawing is very precise, but focus on your object more.
