HS Sketchbook Challenge

When David Macaulay was last at Dalton he spoke to a few High School students about how to revive the use of the sketchbooks.  Students came up with the idea that there could be a sketchbook competition, with prizes for different categories. So with that in mind, we challenge all the high school students to start drawing again and enter your work in the five categories below.  Submitted sketches must be brought to Roxanne Feldman for scanning and posting on the Sketchbook blog.

All entries must be submitted by Friday May 14th. David Macaulay will judge the entries and prizes will be awarded. Everyone is encouraged to submit something!

High School Sketchbook Entry Categories:

  • Best “Doodle”
  • Funniest Cartoon
  • Most Controversial Sketch (remember it will be posted on a public blog)
  • Most Colorful Page
  • Best Fantastical Drawing
  • Best Realistic Rendering

Each winning students will received an autographed copy of one of Mr. Macaulay’s books.
