Sketch # 3 Chocolate Pot
similar uses -can be used as a watering can.
Research Questions:
1. Why is the handle of the pot made of wood while the rest is made of silver?
2. Was this object common during the colonial times in North America or did class determine ownership to various families?
3. How did this object play a role in the cooking lifestyles of the American?
4. Did this pot have any sentimental values for each family or was it passed down for each generation?
5. How widespread was chocolate during that time period?
I feel that all of the questions are great, however, when i first read question 5 another question immedietly popped into my head, where did chocolate come from? I believe that these are all questions that really make me think and i would be interested in knowing the answer to. Another question that i thought of while reading these over was sort of covered by question 3, but how often would someone in that society consume chocolate. Overall great job.
