Inspired by George R. R. Martin\u2019s <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>A Song of Ice and Fire<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They left us here
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Those years ago
\n<\/span>Among the trees
\n<\/span>Beneath the snow
\n<\/span>And here we rose from death anew
\n<\/span>With hands, coal black, and eyes, bright blue.<\/span><\/p>\n

In daylight\u2019s world
\n<\/span>We lifeless lay
\n<\/span>No voice to cry
\n<\/span>No breath to pray,
\n<\/span>The white about us frozen red.
\n<\/span>They\u2019d had no time to burn the dead.<\/span><\/p>\n

There night finds us
\n<\/span>Entombed and still,
\n<\/span>Revives our bodies,
\n<\/span>Free of will,
\n<\/span>And lifts us with the dauntless shade
\n<\/span>To hunt the living cavalcade.<\/span><\/p>\n

They whose pulses
\n<\/span>Ring within
\n<\/span>Our frozen hearts
\n<\/span>And icy skin:
\n<\/span>Whose heartbeats are the only sound
\n<\/span>That reaches those the night has found.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the trees
\n<\/span>With bark like bone,
\n<\/span>The Wall of frost,
\n<\/span>And spells and stone,
\n<\/span>And all the streams where winter sleeps;
\n<\/span>We linger in a world that weeps.<\/span><\/p>\n

But tears mean nothing to the dead
\n<\/span>Among white snows and leaves of red
\n<\/span>Who rise at dark each night anew
\n<\/span>With hands, coal black,
