\n\u201cThe idea of founding a roman reenactment group came into mind first during a conversation at workplace in 1993. The original idea was the building of a roman ship which was later transformed into the concept of reviving roman military life once flourished in the legionary garrison of Brigetio. \n\u201cThe purpose of the Second Legion Adiutrix is the re-creation of various facets of ancient life and warfare in the late 1st Century AD (70 \u2013 100), both for the education of the public and for our own pleasure and edification. We do this by means of historical reenactments and living history demonstrations. The Legion will maintain an active philosophy of public outreach as well as a strong dedication to historical accuracy and continuing research in order to make all of its public displays, private events, and recreational participations as accurate as practical.\u00a0 The Legion may select a number of military or civilian impressions to be presented (either separately or simultaneously), but all will be based on the best possible research, and\u00a0prepared according to the Legion\u2019s Purpose and guidelines.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Legio II Traiana Fortis (The Strong Legion of Trajan): A Las Vegas based Roman Reenactment Group<\/a>

Legio VI Victrix – Legio IX Hispania<\/a>
\n\u201cTwenty centuries ago, the original Legio VI Victrix distinguished itself as a fighting and civilizing force, bringing the enemies of Rome to heel and teaching them the benefits of civilization. Today\u2019s Legio VI Victrix recreates a garrison camp near the Roman city of Eburacum (modern York) in the province of Britannia. Our members portray the foot soldiers and officers of the legion, Imperial officials, and the civilian denizens of a Roman province. Our basic time frame is AD 122-138, during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian, although sub-units portray Legio VI during the Republic and Late Empire as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
