Welcome back and welcome to the 4th graders who started their life at Big Dalton today!<\/p>\n
We have a lot of exciting things going on at Dalton in the 2009-2010 school year.<\/p>\n
All of the middle school students will have a chance to work with Mr. David Macaulay, children’s book creator and Dalton’s Orginal Mind scholar this year, on many areas of their studies: from cities to medieval history, and hopefully everyone will put his\/her marks on paper in this Year of the Sketch Book.<\/a><\/p>\n For 5th graders and houses, it is exciting that Katherine Paterson, author of famous children’s books such as The Great Gilly Hopkins, Lyddie, <\/em>and Bridge to Terabithia<\/em> will be coming to Dalton in late October when we host a world-wide WebCast for Miss Paterson.<\/p>\n Also in the works are bringing back Middle School Book Fair in the spring and Library Literary Labs for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.\u00a0 Stay tuned for information<\/p>\n And of course, the exciting and fun “Do You Know Books!” <\/strong>game show will be held for 4th and 5th graders again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Welcome back and welcome to the 4th graders who started their life at Big Dalton today!
