Because we feel that reading is such an important part of your educational and personal development, <strong>your summer assignment is to read Madeleine L&#8217;Engle&#8217;s <em>A Wrinkle in Time<\/em>, as well as two books of your choice.<\/strong> There is no written assignment for <em>A Wrinkle in Time<\/em>; simply come to fifth grade ready to discuss the concept of &#8220;tessering&#8221; in the story, as well as the character of Meg Murry. In terms of the other two books, you can choose from the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dalton.org\/mslibrary\/2015-summer-recommended-reading-for-rising-5th-and-6th-grade-students\/\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Summer Recommended Reading for Rising 5th and 6th Grade Students<\/a>\u00a0and the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dalton.org\/mslibrary\/recommended-book-series\/\" target=\"_blank\">Recommended Book Series<\/a> lists, prepared by Mrs. Feldman, or explore bookstores and libraries for great new titles and classics.<\/p>\n<p>We request that you record the titles and authors of all the books you devour.
