{"id":1356,"date":"2014-05-28T08:26:16","date_gmt":"2014-05-28T12:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.dalton.org\/mslibrary\/?page_id=1356"},"modified":"2014-05-31T11:07:54","modified_gmt":"2014-05-31T15:07:54","slug":"ebooks-access-info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.dalton.org\/mslibrary\/ebooks-access-info\/","title":{"rendered":"eBooks Access Info"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The Middle School Library is now offering eBooks for middle school students.\u00a0Each eBook can be checked out for 7, 14, or 21 days. \u00a0Each student can check out up to three titles at any given time. \u00a0The eBooks will be automatically returned on the due date. \u00a0You can return finished books before their due dates. \u00a0The return methods differ depending on your devices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Here are some basic instructions on how to access eBooks:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>The OverDrive eBooks collection at the Dalton Middle School Library can be found here:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/\">http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Read on Various Devices by using the OverDrive Media Console App:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For those who have iPad, iPod, iPhone, Android Phone, Windows Phone, Blackberry phone or Playbook, Kindle Fire, Nook HD\/HD+ (and more devices with App capabilities):<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Download the OverDrive Media Console App\u00a0from whichever app store your device can access.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Once the OverDrive Media Console is installed, SEARCH\u00a0and ADD The Dalton School &#8211; Middle School as your FAVORITE\u00a0library.\u00a0 Then you can ADD new books by clicking on the &#8220;add books&#8221; icon and choose\u00a0the Dalton School &#8211; Middle School Library. \u00a0 You will be asked to sign in or register for Adobe Reader services &#8212; go ahead and create an account.\u00a0 Make sure you remember your account name and password for future references.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Currently, everyone&#8217;s set to borrow 3 books at any given time, for 2 weeks.\u00a0 You can reset the date range preference for yourself.\u00a0 Books are automatically returned on the due date or you also may return them as soon as you&#8217;re done.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Read\u00a0Directly on Your Computers\/Laptops:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Go to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/\">http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/<\/a>, login, find, and download eBooks to your computer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Download and Read on your Kindle (without apps capability):<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On your computer, go to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/\">http:\/\/dalton.lib.overdrive.com\/<\/a>, login, find, borrow, and download the Kindle\u00a0format. \u00a0You will be taken to the Amazon site &#8220;Get library\u00a0book&#8221; page. \u00a0Follow the on screen instructions to deliver the library ebook to\u00a0your desired device.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Download and Read on your Nook\u00a0(without apps capability):<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is less intuitive to download OverDrive eBooks to a Nook reader. \u00a0We&#8217;ve found this useful guide for you: <a href=\"http:\/\/ruthtillman.com\/tutorial-library-books-nook-overdrive\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/ruthtillman.com\/tutorial-library-books-nook-overdrive\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For more\u00a0instructions of your specific device, please check out this link:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/omc.overdrive.com\/\">http:\/\/omc.overdrive.com\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Happy Reading! \u00a0Email rfeldman@dalton.org if you are stuck.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Middle School Library is now offering eBooks for middle school students.\u00a0Each eBook can be checked out for 7, 14, or 21 days. \u00a0Each student can check out up to three titles at any given time. \u00a0The eBooks will be automatically returned on the due date. \u00a0You can return finished books before their due dates.
