| 4th Grade
We welcome the 4th graders to “their” Library. The 4th graders have settled in quite nicely. They have received their iBistro (Library online catalog) accounts. By now, they can access their records on what books and other resources they have checked out from the library and when the items are due. These avid readers have already signed out a couple of hundred books from the library and some of them have even visited the library during labs or a few minutes during play street. 5th Grade The 5th Graders are reviewing their iBistro accounts and have discovered that the Fantasy and Science Fiction sections are now outside of the Reading Room because we have expanded the collection in these areas. 6th Grade The 6th graders are working on their Statistics project in math and there are some useful links and also library resources to help them with their research. Both Mr. Bachrach’s and Ms Dejesus’s English classes visited the MS Library the first week of school. We shared our readings and recommended books to each other. We look forward to seeing all of them back to the Library soon! 7th Grade The 7th graders have come and visited the Library in late September and they have discovered the Library Resources area on their Moodle accounts. This month’s 7th grade English/Library featured genres are Horror and Suspense fiction. Each student will finish reading a title in this genre and create a book advertising flyer in black, white, and red. These flyers will become part of the Halloween decoration for the MS Library in late October. We can’t wait to see their artistic expressions! This is the direct link to the assignment 8th Grade We have been seeing many 8th graders in the Library during labs. Most of the time, they need to use the computers. This is a note to remind everyone that Library Computers are reserved for academic use only. Please be mindful of others’ needs and do not sit at a computer station if you do not need the computer. The Reading Room is a great place for quiet reading and work. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration. |
These are some popular and/or recommended books newly arrived in the MS Library. Enjoy!
