It was good because I sort of like true stories. Clara was a farm worker. She wanted to learn how to read. One day a black wagon passed by. It was filled with books. She ran up to it. There was a person in it. Her name was Miss Mary. Finally Clara got a book. My favorite character was Miss Mary because she is nice. She also gives out books. I recommend the book because it is happy.

I think it was good because it was true. There is a girl named Clara that can’t read and a book wagon comes. She learns how to read. My favorite character is Clara because she is nice, has a good personality and is willing to take the time to learn how to read. I recommend this book because it is true and has a happy ending.

I liked it because the story was true. Clara worked on a farm. She wanted to learn to read. There were no schools for farm children so Clara could not learn to read. She went to Mr. Holzer’s store and later a book wagon rolled up. I like Clara because she has the same personality as me. You should read this book because it is a fun true story.

It was good because at the end Clara gets what she wants. Clara wants to read a papa says NO! Miss Mary also really wants Clara to read. Miss Mary works in a bookwagon. I like Miss Mary because she is very kind. She wants kids to get what they want and she really does that. I recommend this book because it’s sad at the beginning but at the end it’s happy!
