This week 1st grade was totally enraptured by the story of Pete and Pickles by Berkeley Breathed
(known for his revered comic strip, Bloom County).
The illustrations completely draw the reader in as Pete and Pickles develop a heart-warming friendship. The clever writing and amusing picture details on each page make this an entertaining read for people of all ages. Perfect timing as we review how picture books are organized on the shelf (alphabetical by author’s last name!).
