During the first week of school, we read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs because a 3-D movie version of the book was released on September 18th.
The book is a classic favorite, and the students really enjoyed the zany pictures and fantastic storyline.
In the following weeks, many students reported back that they had seen the movie and although it was fun and exciting it was nothing like the book. Hooray for being media savvy!
