If you are having trouble with a homework assignment, that’s okay! Don’t stay up late and struggle with it. Instead think about which part of the homework confuses you. Is it the directions? Does the process seem like it’s missing something? Does the answer just not look right? I can appreciate a good question just as much as a right answer so bring me one of those instead.

Parents, feel free to answer a question or two about a homework, but if you find it hard to help without giving answers, help your student think of a good question to ask me the next day instead. We always go over the homework in class and students have a chance to correct their work.
