How do I change my default font in Word??

October 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment

Good question.
It’s very simple.

In Word, go to the Format menu and select Font. Change the Font, Size and Style to your desired preference. Click on Default and choose Yes.

In the example below, every time I open a Word document, I will start typing in Comic Sans size 14.
That’s it.

This was very helpful to me and ended a recurring frustration I have had of not finding my preferred font when I open a new document. Thank you so much for posting it, including the picture of the dialogue box.

Next, I’m hoping you can post directions for alphabetizing the Bookmarks menu in Firefox. I haven’t had any success although I’ve tried several “tutorials” available on the web.
