Understanding Material Culture

The purpose of the assignment is for students to study a particular object in detail and practice observation and analysis.  There will be a “visual” analysis of their object and a series of research questions that students will generate and try to answer about their object.  Each student will choose one sketch and one set of questions to be posted on this blog.
