I thought this book was interesting because there were lots of facts about the Second World War. I learned a lot about gas masks and air raid shelters.

Dear Lilly,
I thought the book taught me a lot about World War II. I learned that people used gas masks and that the children were sent out of the city into the country. The children were probably sad and scared because they were not with their parents and they did not know where they were going. They also had to wait on a line until someone chose them.
