I help the parade guard by threting the people

They stay back when I point at them

They’re scared

The parade guard keeps me in his hands

They are really warm and smooth

He makes sure that I don’t hurt anyone

But that they don’t ruin the parade

At the end he puts me away

And in the next parade

I do the same thing

My decorations look Asian but they’re from persa

And now I sleep

For the next parade

Native American Research

I studied the Native American northwest shelter from 500 years ago. The people of the northwest lived closest to the Pacific Ocean. On the next few paragraphs I’m going to tell you what kind of shelters the people of northwest lived in, how did they lived in the houses, and how long it took to build the houses. Many tribes lived in different houses kinds of houses like the plank houses and many more, but we won’t talk about all of them.

Plank houses were made with a lot of planks.planks are long thin pieces of any type of wood. It took a long time to build each plank house because you also had to carve a totem pole. Totem poles are long tree trunk. Plankhouses are rectangular houses made of wood. Also plank houses were made for thousands of years. They were richly and beautiful decorated with carvings. Plank houses are also called longhouses because they are long. The Native Americans that used the plank house never took the house down. Plankhouses are ever lasting houses.

huey-tells.JPGMore Stories Huey Tells

by Ann Cameron

A boy named Huey has a place in his backyard to grow plants. The plants he grew were sunflowers. Huey, Julian and Gloria all made plants but they were not the same plants. Huey thought his plants were the best in the garden. They were in the back so they wouldn’t shade the other plants because they looked like giants. During the summer they played in their garden and Huey’s sunflowers had enormous yellow flowers with dark centers. Julian was bringing roses from his bush for his mom to put in a vase. The plants got taller and taller until they were humongous. Huey was proud of his plants. Eventually Julian and Gloria didn’t think they were nice anymore. Huey saw that his plants were droopy. He thought that they were sick. They weren’t sick though but they gave them a lot of items and got in trouble for it. They were dying so he took the seeds out of the flowers and stored them for next year.

4-kendall-i-am-from-artwork.jpegI’m from Queens, a place where people walk from corner to corner going home and to the store.

I’m from a really nice family that also lives in Queens.

I’m from waking up early to go to the Dalton school where I have a lot of friends in house43. (Read on …)
