I am a golden bracelet shiny and smooth on the inside,
I am a golden bracelet bumpy and tough on the outside
I am decorated with stones and beads
I have strate lines that weave
I have patterns that make a loop
I have braids weaving in and out in never ending lines across my side
My flowers have petals that have clear quartz
There are also gold balls that look like warts
They are decorating my designs
They make me perfect and unique in the market of Kashgar

AM Recommends Peter and the Starcatchers

peter-starcatcher.JPGThe book that I would recommend is called Peter and the Starcatchers by David Barry and Ridley Pearson. It is a really great book and is the first of three books in the same series. I liked this one the most because I thought was very detailed. I think that it is the kind of book that once you start you can’t be stopped. It is a book that is related to Peter Pan very much. Peter Pan is placed in an orphanage because his parents had disappeared mysteriously. In book one, Peter and his friends are placed on a ship called the Neverland where Peter meets a girl named Molly Aster. He soon finds out that there is a group called the Starcatchers. What they do is they do is collect a silver powder called Starstuff. Starstuff makes people, animals, and all kinds of objects fly. It also releases great healing abilities.

Molly’s father, who is known as Lord Aster, is one of the main Starcatchers. He tries to collect the Starstuff and returns it to the Heavens where it belongs. Molly told Peter that her father was on a different ship called the Wasp. It was supposed to be the fastest ship in the whole world. On his boat there was supposed to be a huge trunk of Starstuff.
Later in the book you find out that the Neverland really has the Starstuff and the Wasp does not. Then the ship is attacked by pirates, and is destroyed.

oscar-and-alphonse.jpegOscar and Alphonse

One day in a small wooden house there lived a small girl named Alphonse about three years old, and her brother Oscar who was only four years old. They lived in a clearing near the woods with their mother and father.

In the woods, which they lived near, the branches were so tangled and knotted that if you walked only two feet into the branches, you would get lost forever. The wild animals that lived in the woods would find you. When you would cry for help, they would hear you. They would eat you and sometimes even terrorize a whole town. The wild animals, which lived in the forest rarely, had a meal since everyone knew not to go into the forest after the many deaths of people.

6-alexandra-i-am-from-artwork.jpegI am from a dog barking brown stone town house.
With trees melting over the roof and sides painting dark, leafy shadows across the side of the building.
I am from mornings when I hear a loud whistle from my mom’s boiling water for her coffee.
I am from salty and sweet smelling air from snack carts with hot pretzels and soda.
I am from a busy, noisy and loud street with none of my friends. (Read on …)
