The man with the turban,
Selling something
It was special
But I didn’t know what it was
I handed the man a jade statue,
My most valuable possession
He slowly moved his shaking hand towards me,
Giving me the mysterious object
As soon as I touched it,
I felt like it belonged to me
I held it to my lips,
For it looked like a horn

Native American Research

Introduction

During this project I learned about the Southeast Native Americans (pre Eurapean). I studied about their spiritual beliefs. The tribes that I wrote about were the Cherokee, and the Shawnee, but I mostly wrote about the Cherokee. The Southeast Native Americans had VERY interesting ceremonies and festivals. Dive into this research paper and find out about them!

Hunting Ceremonies

There were special hunting ceremonies held by the Cherokee. When the skilled hunters were about to go on a big hunt they had what they called a hunting ceremony. These dances are supposed to make sure that the hunter would succeed to catch an animal. There were multiple Animal Dances, all special in a way. Here are some examples: The Beaver and the Raccoon Dance are the same. They acted out the hunt, the kill and the (Read on …)

The Secrets of Dripping Fang, Book 1: The Onts dflg.jpg

By Dan Greenburg

I read a fabulous book called The Secrets of Dripping Fang, Book 1: The Onts, by Dan Greenburg. It is about a boy and a girl. Their names are Wally Shluffmuffin and Cheyenne Shluffmuffin. They are both orphans. Nobody had ever kept them. That’s because Cheyenne is allergic to almost everything and Wally has really stinky feet. One day two ladies come to the orphanage named Hedy & Dagmar Mandible (they’re sisters). They tell the owner of Jolly Days that they were looking for children with stinky feet and allergies. At first, the owner thought they were a joke byt they were serious, so the owner grabbed the twins and the people took them to their house. Soon the twins find out the Onts (the adopters told the Shluffmuffin twins to pronounce Aunts as Onts because they weren’t ants) were giant ants raising a bunch of other ants to tke over the human race.

I would recommend this book because it has a lot of adventures in it and it’s really funny.

Part 1

Once upon a time there was an evil, enchanted Pumpkin named Pumnik. Pumnik had the power to change any old creature into a very, very evil creature. Or an evil creature into a very evil creature.

Well one day Pumnik saw a knife in a town he was visiting called Napush. The lad was a strong looking, sharp knife, an evil looking strong, sharp knife. And the knife looked as if he was trying to think up a plan, an evil plan.

So he went up to the knife and said with out thinking “Are ya evil?”
“Well I guess. Why do you ask such a random question? Why? WHY?????”
“Because I can help you think of the most evil plan ever. Right now you are just a nobody. But with me you can become somebody, become the ruler of the world!”
“Well how?” questioned the knife.
“ First you must tell me your name. Your evil, evil name.”
“ My name isn’t as evil as you think.”
“Well tell me anyway you evil, evil knife!”

I am from honking cars. Red, blue, gray any color you can imagine. All of the cars driving under stone and glass apartment buildings.

I am from sweet smells. The best ice cream, great candy, ripened fruit. YUM.

I am from a crazy brother. Even though we fight sometimes, it always ends up being spectacular.
