My Very, Very Boring Life by LF

I have a very, very boring life
Especially for a dagger
Normally
You think a dagger
Has…
An exciting life,
A crazy life,
A dangerous and frightening life…
But I don’t
I sit and stare
At thin air
I feel the smooth and polished stand I am kept on
Sometimes I have a strong hand grab me
And put me on it’s owner’s belt
I see a very highly decorated man
Sitting on a glorious chair
But I am never taken out of the belt
That a man is keeping me in
Then
I am put back in my stand
Which is a relief
It is much more comfortable then the rough belt
But I don’t move a muscle
For then if someone sees
And hurries of with a hustle
And then my master will be mad
And start puzzling
And I’ll feel sad
Because I’ll be the cuase
Of all this struggling
But I will never do that
Because of what might happen
You would think I don’t like it
But I do
It might not
Be the right thing for you
But when I’m alive
I’ll strive in my life
For I love
Being a decorative knife
And having a very, very boring life
