Alice Project

  1. Make a list of ten “scenes” (events) for your comic chapter. (If you have two chapters, you can have up to twenty scenes.)
  2. Write the text to go with these scenes. You can use text from the actual book or rewrite it. Up to you.
  3. Do the art for your scenes. You may want to make backgrounds for each scene separately from the characters. You also may want to reuse some of these for the different scenes.
  4. Scan in all the art.
  5. Do a story board.
  6. When you have everything ready you will create a comic using Comic Life.
  7. And lastly we will combine them in a series of pages for our class blog!

Today’s Post: Your Cinderella Stories

1. Login into FirstClass and go to the Cindy Stories conference.

2. Find your Cindy story and drag it onto the desktop.

3. Open the story and then go to your blog to start a new post.

4. Then, copy your story (not your name) and paste it into your post.

5. Separate your paragraphs by skipping a line for each new paragraph. (Don’t forget to save!) (You can do this later too.)

6. Find a passage in your story to record.

7. Go back to FirstClass and open a new message. Copy the passage into message.

8. Record your Cindy Story passage (see the steps here on the Email FAQ page).

9. Finally, add your new audio file to your Cindy Story blog post.

Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! post

Today you are going to learn how to upload audio file to your post.

The first thing to do is to give your audience some information about what they will be hearing. In this case you should write a good paragraph explaining why we did this (hint — your teacher chose the book for a very special reason:), your particular monologue and why you chose it, how dressed for it (if you did), and so on. And be sure to give the title of the book and the author. You might also want to put an image of the book cover on your post. (I’m not going to go over how to do that — there is a place for you to get that information if you need it. Hint: the first letter is “F”.) Here’s a link to the amazon.com page about the book to help you.

The second thing to do is to upload the file. Go to the end of the Blogs FAQ where you will find directions answering the question, “ How do I upload an audio file (podcast) to a post?”
