BINDER ORGANIZATION

BINDER ORGANIZATION
One of the most important expectations for this class is for you to maintain an organized binder throughout the year. There will be SURPRISE binder checks, and everyone’s binder will be examined for the following:

* All sections / handouts are included
* No pages fall out when the binder is shaken

Please organize your binder accordingly:

1. A separate binder for English class ONLY
2. A three-hole punch (attached to English binder)
3. A pencil / pen case

Section One: Assignments
Section Two: Grammar
Section Three: Vocabulary
Section Four: Class Notes (plenty of lined paper) and Handouts

All sections must be labeled!

At the end of each literature unit, you will be asked to create a literature portfolio (See website for more details on this). As a result, you will be emptying the following sections: Assignments, Returned Work, and Notes for that literature unit. Please don’t take any materials out of Grammar, Vocabulary, or Class Notes, as you will be adding to those sections all year.

If your binder ever falls apart, I expect you to refer back to this page and create a new binder
