My Oral History Book (with pictures!)
The picture above is the front cover of my oral history book My Mom Comes To America, by me! It is about my mom( which is kind of obvious) and she immigrated here from America. My mom came from Trinidad and she’s lived here for 18 years. My book is not published, so you will not be able to read it unless you work at a certain school,so if you don’t that’s too bad. There were a LOT of steps to finish this book but I shouldn’t be complaining because REAL authors wait for their books to come out at least a couple years! After the interview, my next step was to transcribe (handwrite) the interview. Once I got that checked I had to type it up and then split it into paragraphs to later use as the text on pages. Here is a list about a couple of the basics and a bit of things on the first few pages.
–My mom came here for a college eucation
–She arrived on March 7th, 1991, 7 a.m.
–She arrived by plane and landed at JFK airport.
I did all my steps at school, and I never brought it home unlike some other people because I was one of the first three people to finish. And that is the story of my book, My Mom Comes to America.

You’ve done a nice job of detailing the steps you took towards finishing your OH book. I especially like how you provided a sneak peak at some of the information contained within your book. Please take a few minutes to proofread this post, as there are a few small typos that you need to fix.

Hopefully you do the proofreading for this post as Ms. Kirsch suggests. Otherwise I think it gives a good sense of your wonderful book!
