This is my last blog post. I think that blogging influenced my life as a writer. Before this I often got stuck in the middle of a story but now I no longer get stuck. I liked blogging because it let me express my feelings on a specific topic. Overall blogging was an amazing experience and I hope that I will be able to do that again.

When Philo was twelve he moved to Rigby Idaho. Philo lived four miles away from the nearest high school so he had to ride a horse to school every day. Philo went to Brigham Young University. 32-14 thousand years ago there was an ancient lake named Lake Bonneville. For thousands of years Mountains contained the water in the lake. It was a fresh water lake averaging 1,000 feet deep. The lake was about 20,000 square miles big. The lake was formed by glaciers that melted and the water filled up the lake. The Great Salt Lake is the remaining part of Lake Bonneville. I got my information from the USGS website.
In school we read a book called “When You Reach Me” by Rebeca Stead. It is a mystery. But not the kind of mystery that you would expect. It’s a story of friends and mystery. it is a story of a 12 year old girl named Miranda. Her best friend got punched and dumped her. I don’t think that the title fits with the book. I think it should be called “The Notes, The Letter, and the Laughing Man”. It takes a very long time to figure the mystery out. It has many threads in the story. You have to be a very patient reader to read this book.
In school we had to read a book called the Green Book. It is a book that takes place in the future. In this book earth is destroyed and a poor country is the last country to leave earth and to go to an other planet. They name this planet Shine. Life was tough on Shine, but was it harder than the time the pilgrims had in Plymouth? The pilgrims dealt with a lot of disease and death. On Shine everybody survived. Both the Pilgrims and the people of Shine travelled to an unknown land but for the people of Shine the trip took 4 years and for the pilgrims it took 66 days. They both had to had to figure out how to survive on unfamiliar land. Most of their crops failed. I think that the pilgrims had a harder time than the people of Shine.
In school we are learning about Alice in wonder land. In this unit we read the book. Then we learned about Lewis Carroll [who's real name is Charles Dodgson] and the real Alice of who the book is about. Monica Edinger read the annotated version so we had more information on his inspiration. We read the original poems and then the parodies. We watched a seires called the 1900 house to learn about what Alice would have lived like. Then we were parnereds up to write an Alice comic. Then we picked out ten sceenes. After that we started to write the text. Then we did the art for the comic. After we used comic life to put the comic together.
