I think blogging was really fun! It was a way to show off our work on the Internet. You had to check your blog at least once a week for comments. We got to write reviews, we did podcasts, inserted images and alot more. We put our writing skills work on it. I don’t think I have a favorite thing because I liked mostly everything. I think blogging was a great experience!
Today we had a debate. It was about whether the movie The Wizard of Oz was a good adaptation of L Frank Baum’s story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The teachers assigned us our parts. I got assigned that it was a good adaptation. After seeing the movie and reading the book we had to come up with a couple reasons to support their side. At the beginning I didn’t like what I got but in the end I liked our side better.
Bill Clinton was born in Hope, Arkansas on August 19 1946. He lived the first six years of his life with his grandparents. In 1950 his mother came back from nursing school and married his step father Roger Clinton. The family moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas where Roger owned a car dealership. In 1978 Bill Clinton became Governer of Arkansas. He served one more time as the governor and then left Arkansas to become president.

Maryland was the first state to have religious freedom. Unlike the other states, you could be whatever religion you wanted. In other states you had to be a certain religion, but in Maryland there was choice. That’s how Maryland got it’s nickname “The Free State”. Maryland is a great state!
Fort McHenry is a fort right outside of Baltimore. The national anthem was written during the battle of Fort McHenry. The person who wrote the national anthem Francis Scott Key was on the English Battleship when he wrote it. Fort McHenry is a great tourist attraction. I’ve never been there, but if you go you will be able to see the whole harbor from there. Also, if you go, get me a souvenir.

I think the book When You Reach Me is a really good book. It is kind of complicated though very very intense. It takes place in New York City in 1979. It’s about a girl named Miranda. She gets these notes saying different things. The fist one says “I am coming to save your friends life and my own. I must ask two favors first you must write me a letter. ” She doesn’t really get it until the end. Also her mom is going to be on a game show called the Twenty Thousand Dollar Pyramid and goes on at the end of the book.

I think The Laughing Man is not a good title because it gives to much away, but I don’t really like the title. Maybe The Notes?
I think the cover is very good and I really like the objects that show up in the in different points in the book.
