The Oklahoma state fruit is the Strawberry. Different schools voted for it to be. About eight counties in Oklahoma grow strawberries. Now they have also thought about the Watermelon for being the runner up. The students practically came up with it, because they new about eight or more counties grow them. They are also the #1 for home plantings there (Oklahoma). Also the people there enjoy them a lot because of the sweet taste, they also have a lot of pecan pie, that is the state pie. They do also like to eat corn bread with their meals. Many strawberries can grow with one seed, and faster than an apple tree, which is the New York state fruit.
