Mount Mitchell; in North Carolina

As you may know, North Carolina has a lot of mountains. It has many more besides Mount Mitchell, but Mount Mitchell is the highest peak of Appalachian, the highest point east of Mississippi. It was the highest point of each state of the USA until Texas joined the union  in 1845.
