Margru, African Slave
I liked the Sarah Margru Kinson story, that our teacher Ms.Edinger wrote. The story in some parts was depressing, but unlike some slaves, she had pretty much a happy ending. I thought that when depressing parts happened, that they would be really touching, but the happy parts are really exciting because, normally your not really expecting them. The story is not public for the world, only for the 4th graders at Dalton, and teachers who have the username, and password. Ms.Edinger wrote that in historical fiction.
The fact that its historical fiction means that the poems might say: She slowly strolled in the forest and cried. Who nows if whoever that was ran in circles screaming, they might not even be crying. The Margru poems made a sad slave story with a happy ending, so interesting to read. Margru also met Cinque, Teme, and Kagne. Since Margru means black snake, Margru’s name might really be Mangulu.

I appreciate so much all your thoughts about my story. I especially liked the final paragraph where you write about the fictional nature of the story. As you know I am especially taken by the mangling of her name — yes, probably Mangulu not Margru at all.
