When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead is an amazingly mysterious book. The beginning may be a little dull but eventually you will be gritting your teeth and and holding on to your pants. You have to have a bit of patience if you read it because it does not give a tiny pinch of it away. And if you try to figure it out you’ll finish reading it faster then that. And you have to make sure you keep on reading it because if you stop for some time you will forget everything cause there’s a lot of stuff going on in it. It takes place in New York in 1979, so it has stuff like The Twenty Thousand Dollar Pyramid.  It may seem a little confusing at the end but get prepared because a lot of stuff is going on in this book.  So if you like a mysterious, funny and thinking book this is the right one.
