My buddy (who is in 3rd grade) is writing letters to kids in the 3rd grade in New Orleans. Read what she wrote about that.

When I found out I had NOLA Buddies I was curious who I would get and what they were like.

I soon learned that they were making a tree nursery for The Southern Bald Cypress. The Southern Bald Cypress is the corner stone of the wetlands so when the wetlands disappear so does the tree. I think they are nice because of the tree nursery.

They are like us because they helping a certain community which is the wetlands.

Our buddies are 8-9 years old just like us. They also go to The Lusher School. The Nutria is an animal that eats The Southern Bald Cypress.

I think it is cool to be friends with someone that is 1,200 miles away.
