Behind the Mountains
Hi! The book I read was by Edwidge Danticat. It is a first person fiction. She wrote the books Breath, Eyes, Memory, and she wrote Krik? Krak! Her books have some very good writing. In Behind the Mountains an example is on page 160 “stream of their dreams”, this is not a metaphor, but it sounds cool. Another is on page 89 “million ice needles were being hammered to my skin.” On page 83, she lists stuff she would miss if she had never been on a airplane. They speak in French in the book and they are learning English, but the book is written in English. My friends are also reading the book and we are making a poster that you might be seeing soon. I really like this book and I really think you should read this book!

I like the part about the poster, I haven’t seen anyone else do it.
