My Oral History Book-Entering The Melting Pot

I wrote about MY MOM who immigrated to NYC. She was born in Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba. She went to Trinidad first for a few years (yay you heard me right, a few years!) I have 2 aunts one was born in Canada one in NYC, my mom is the oldest though. Now she is married has 2 children (I’m one the other is my sister, she is 4 months old!) and as she said ” They are Entering Into The Melting Pot.”

This is the cover to my book.

This is a page I like a lot it has a picture of my mom Ukrainian Dancing!

This is an other picture I like, my mom lived where it was very cold this is a picture of her making a house of snow.

  1. I enjoyed reading this post and the book too. Your little sister will be able to read your mother’s story some day too!

  2. I love that you added captions to the images of your book! It makes me want to read your book to learn more about your mom’s experience immigrating to New York.

Your mom has lived in a cold climate (Canada) and in a warm climate (Trinidad). Does she prefer the colder weather or the warmer weather?

  3. She prefers colder climet.
