In school I read the journal of Wong Ming-Chung. It is about a Chinese kid who immigrates from China for the California Gold Rush. I thought it was good because it is not just telling you information it is actually a story. But it is not all fake it has a lot of real information like it was actually really hard to find gold. I learned a lot of things like that Americans would bully the Chinese immigrants. The writer uses good language like when it is snowing and they are catching the snow in theirs mouth they say, “it is like a bird begging for food.” It was really good and I think you should read it.
