This is my last blog post ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My job is to tell the reader what they want to know. I needed to be really detailed and creative at the same time. I really think everybody should have their own blog because it is very entertaining and a good way to have fun! It is also really annoying when teachers blame you for everything bad that happens! (Like the noise that copy and paste makes makes them think that your up to something like playing computer games!)
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood-Bye!!!!!!!!
In class we’ve been studying The Wizard Of Oz. It is a book by L. Frank Baum about a girl named Dorothy who goes to a magical world called Oz. We watched a documentary about how it was made. Here is a little sample of part of the movie. I think the documentary was very interesting and told us a lot about how the movie was made.
Today is the day!!! Our inter view is finally here! Listen at the bottom. It is about how I came to the big school.
Howdy y’all!!! Today I’m going to show you my FINAL ALICE COMIC!!!
For me and my partner’s comic, click here
To celebrate the end of this unit we decided to have an Alice Tea Party which was very, very, very, very fun. There was games, food, drinks and laughter. All together this was such a fun unit that I wish I could do it again! Check out my partner’s post here!
When I was in the lower school I used to think people in the upper school were really, really cool!
! I use to think that being in the upper school meant you had more freedom…. I wasn’t wrong! In the upper school you get a lot more homework but a lot more freedom for sure. My buddy will be interviewing me about my journey to the upper school. Check out that post.
The most recent book I’ve read is Charlie’s Raven, by Jean Craighead George. The book is about a boy who’s grandpa got sick and his friend who is a native american tells him about the healing powers of ravens. The question is, can Blue Sky the raven save his grandfather. I think it is a really good book and think that Blue Sky can save anyone.
Forced Immigration
In school we are studying forced immigration. It is about the people on ships like the Amistad that came from Africa to America as slaves. I liked reading the book, The Amistad. I thought the study was really interesting, especially the part when we saw a PowerPoint about Olaudah Equiano. I learned that Olaudah was kept in jail until the ship came. We met c16ts’ dad who is from Sierra Leone. He showed us pictures and items. Well anyway, it was really interesting and educational.
Dear Grandfather,
‘Tis beautiful in the new world. There is a great abundance in crops and livestock. ‘Twas very hard the first winter and I was very scared. We suspect lions in the woods and bears on the shore because of fearsome noises. I helped mother plant our garden and Master Alder plaster his walls. Food is plentiful and very sweet. Father is very happy with our house and so am I. On the ship the Billington boys set off squibs and scared the living daylight out of everybody. Then their mother scared the living daylight out of them. I can’t wait to see you again.
Sincerely,
William Taylor More
