Cinder Ella
Cinder Ella
Once upon a time there was a girl named Ella. She had long blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. Her mom died from a terrible disease. Her father married a mean step mom that had two evil daughters named Sophie and Alice.
The evil step mom made her clean every part of the house. Every day the step family would say,” Scrub the floor! Wash the windows! Make the bed!” and they would make Ella do chores all day.
They did this because Ella was so sweet and pretty while on the other hand, well let’s just say the stepsisters were not. Of course Ella’s father didn’t know how mean the stepfamily was to Ella because he was so busy. One day while Ella was cooking, her Dad had a heart attack and died. It made Ella really upset.
The step mom kicked Ella off her property and into the forest. She did this because they despised Ella and they were jealous of her. And it was not the best night to get kicked off the property. It was pouring and the wind was picking up speed. Then it started to hail.
Ella’s face was stinging from the impact of the hail. Now her face was searing with pain. She tripped on a log and fell into the mud. She was wet and upset.
Then it got worse, as lighting struck a tree that went on fire, but luckily didn’t spread. Another bolt of lighting struck a tree like a bullet and it fell. Ella jumped out of the way. She wanted to go home but the step mom, who owns the property, would never let her go back.
The worst place to be during a thunderstorm is the forest. Her rags were ripping and the hail was like sharp knives on her face. Finally, the storm lightened up and after a while stopped. Of course by that time it was the middle of the night and Ella was very tired and wanted to go to sleep. She found a nice patch of moss, lay down and fell asleep.
She woke up in the morning very hungry. She decided to look for some food. She found a fig tree. After she ate the figs, Ella took a walk. As she was walking she saw a letter on another tree. She picked the letter off and it read: You are invited to the Prince’s Ball. There will be food, dancing and music. Please come to the castle on April eighteenth. From the Prince.
Today was the sixteenth, so Ella was very happy. She liked the woods but at the ball she would get a chance to be with other people. But then she realized that she didn’t know were to go and she had nothing to wear.
Ella was still hungry so she went to search for more food. She found a red berry bush. She ate some berries and then made a nice place to sleep. Ella woke up and walked around, but she didn’t go far because she had a nice pile of straw and leaves, and on the top, moss.
As she was walking she heard the sound of cries. Ella ran to see what it was and found a wizard without his wand, surrounded by a furious pack of wolves. She picked up a rock and threw it at the pack leader, who ran away, followed by the rest of the wolves.
The wizard picked up his wand and thanked Ella.
“My name is Zane,” said the wizard.
“I’m Ella and it’s nice to meet you,” Ella replied.
“Thank you! And if you ever need me then say, ‘zing zang zoo,’” said Zane, and all of the sudden he disappeared.
The next morning, when Ella woke up, she said, “Zing zang zoo,” and the wizard appeared. He asked what she wanted and she said, a dress, and to appear at the castle when the ball starts.
The wizard told her to get some red berries. Luckily she remembered where the berries were so she got them in a snap. Ella gave Zane the berries and he turned them into a dazzling red dress with sparkling red shoes. Ella loved it and thanked the wizard. He told Ella that she must be back by daybreak or she will lose the dress. Then all the sudden Zane waved his wand and she appeared at the ball.
Ella came to the castle. It had huge paintings on the walls and there was a spiral staircase. When she entered, everyone stared and muttered about how beautiful she was. The stepsisters saw Ella and thought that she looked like their stepsister! The prince stared at Ella and asked her to dance. Then Ella told him all about her evil stepfamily. They danced and talked until the sun started rising so she ran away. The prince was yelling and asking her to come back, but she was long gone.
The prince decided to throw another ball hoping to find the beautiful girl.
Before the ball, Ella said, “Zing zang zoo,” and Zane appeared. He told her to get blueberries and he turned them into a shining blue dress.
When Ella arrived the prince thought she was even more beautiful then before. It was even more crowded this time than last. They danced all night until Ella ran away. She ran as fast as she could while the prince tried to catch up, but failed.
Then the final ball was thrown and she said, “Zing zang zoo.” Zane asked Ella to get some raspberries, which took here a long time. In a flash, Zane turned the berries into a dress, shining like the stars. But there was something different this time. After they danced and talked, Ella did not run away. Instead she stayed.
Her dress turned into rags and she asked, “Do you still love me?”
And the Prince replied, “Yes I do!” They got married and lived in the castle. The stepfamily became their servants.
