The Wizard of Oz: Movie or Book???

Edinger House recently read The Wizard of Oz and watched the movie. We also watched a docudrama about the author, L. Frank Baum. I think that the book is better than the movie because the movie leaves out the part when Dorothy and her friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion journey to Glinda through the Country of the Quadlings and the China Town. There is also a beginning part in the movie when Dorothy runs away (for 5 minutes). And 3rd, the in Throne Room in the movie there is no throne!! The wizard in the movie looks he is on a projector. As I said before, the book is better because of those 3 reasons.
Feel free to comment your opinion on which is better!

I agree that the book is better, though it is a wonderful movie! I think books are generally better than the movies that are made from them, because the filmmakers usually have to leave some parts of the story out, in order to fit it into a movie.
