This will be my last blog post EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:(
:( So, now “it’s my job and duty” (I got that from a Marine commercial…) to tell you, the reader about what it is like to be a consistent blogger. I really enjoy it. I think the best part is to really be able to share your feelings with the reader, and anyone else who wants to listen to you. The thing I don’t like is how we can only write about things the teachers/grownups want us to. Like, a book, Alice In Wonderland, only things we do in school, pretty much. I encourage teachers who want to do this, and think that even if you don’t want to, you can, and should. It is really great to have an individual blog, because students get to tell the story through their perspective, not the teacher’s. You hear the story, in like, 20 ways. I mean, every person gets to tell what happened in his/her own way, and people really listen. I think that is really cool. Oh, and commenting. It is so fun to go on to someone’s thoughts, pretty much, and be able to tell them what you think. I thought is was great managing the blog, ’cause you have so much control over all of the blogging stuff. I think my favorite post was All About Alice, Stage 3. When you blog, your job is to keep people reading. To do that, you use cliffhangers, say, (well, write really,) funny things, and just be exciting. This is non-exciting. This morning, I opened my door and took a step outside, where I got the paper, walked the dog, and got a coffee, and then I came back inside and went to bed. NO ONE WOULD READ THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping it interesting is a hard but fun job. The blog meant a lot to me, because it was me sharing my thoughts. I would like to do another because it was really fun. I would do it a little more relaxed, though. My blog will be closed to write entrees on Friday, so bye.
I personally think that the movie was a so\so adaptation because it added some things, and took away some things. It added; The Lolly Pop Kids, The Songs, and others. It took away; The Golden Cap, The Land Of China People, and The Big Spider. I really liked the land of china people, it’s the land of china people, come on! Thats cool! The book, I found very interesting, and sooooooo good! It is about a little girl named Dorothy. (You know this already, but that’s ok.) She flies to oz in her house, which is caught in a tornado. The movie made us all laugh, because in the begning, it is all black and white, and when they get to OZ, it goes color. I really liked the book, and hope that you will read it if you already haven’t. (Which most people have, it came out years ago, and is sooooooooooooooooooooo famos!!!) :()
NOWISWHENISHOWYOUMYCOMIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (If you can’t get that, NOW IS WHEN I SHOW YOU MY COMIC!!!!!!!!!! If you did, good job!) This is a link. Click on it. Yes, on the blue words that say my comic. Oh no, you missed it! Here it is again. My Comic! Did you get it? Here is where you can get to everyone else’s comics. (Go back and click on here.) Most of the work was done by me, c16sb, the awsome one! All of the drawings are mine, exept for 1. The one of the cards bending over. You can look through the comics in any order, but it might be a little confusing; all of the characters look different. Also, some of us changed the story to make it work, like c16tf and c16rc, who were partners. Here is a brief summary of all of the things we did. We made a script of our chapter; we drew pictures and scanned them into our house accounts; (That continued throughout the whole time…) We started to learn about comic life; finally, we made the comic. It took a lot longer that it took me to write this post. All and all, the unit was super fun. Go to my homepage to see all of my other posts.
Here it is. Click on the sound thingie.

Big D. is 2 blocks away from Little D. There are many differences. 1 is that Big D. is more independent. You walk around by yourself, and have to remember your own schedule. In Little D. we walked around in lines. Also, here there is a lunch cart outside all of the classes, and in Little D. we eat in our classroom. There are more Breakfast For Lunch days in Little D. (SOOOOOOOOO UNFAIR!!!) Tomorrow, my buddy is going to interview me on my journey from Little D. to Big D. She will use most of the same questions that we used for our immigration books. I will be doing it on a podcast, she will be asking the questions, and I will be answering.
:)
I absolutely love this book! It is about a girl named Elsa who has a stepfather, a mother, a step sister and a step brother. She was placed in a shelter because she had no home. The shelter is very crummy, and her family is not happy. They are a familly of five, and are given a room that would have been better for a family of 2. Near the end of the book, something exciting happens, and I would tell you what it was, ‘cept it would ruin the suprise of the book. But I will tell you this, Elsa gets what she wants the most! (In a weird way!)
This week we will be looking at how to work with plasq.com/comiclife (comic life,) I bet some of you have heard of it. It is a program that you can make a comic on. (DUH!!) My partner has been working on the comic while I have been finishing up on the drawings. He will be showing you the cover on his next post. Some of the basics of Comic Life are the speech bubbles, which are at the bottom of the page. There is also the panels, there are tons of choices. There is also more advanced things in the category on the right side of the page; the category is called Details. You can also change your font, and how big your words are, and you also can stretch your words, and smush them to. All and all, comic life is very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, (take breath here) very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very fun. Keep reading!
Today I am going to be telling you about what has happened since now and last week. Me and my partner c16ts have been making drawings for our comic. We still can’t show you the script, because it is not totally finished, but when it is, I will show yall. Here are 2 the pic’s that we, (Mostly Me!!!!!!) have drawn.

‘Tis hard here in the New Land. I never wishd to come to this harsh, cold tiring place. I told my feels to Father, and I hast got slapped in the mouth for “SUCH FOUL WORDING!” I do miss being home, where the beer is plenteful, and the biscuts are good. There is much hard work here, and we must be on our wach all of the hours, for the Natives, and those Wolvs. I hate the Wolves angrey eyes, their sharp teeth, but the Men and Boys do a good job keping them away. I am so tired of this lot of work. And how We sleep. My sister and brother both have to rest on the hard table top, but I get a good rest on the extra Bed. ‘Tis only because I am the oldest, and soon to be married. ‘Tis thank that we have our Fort, other the Natives would kill us all! ‘Tis Love Brewster that holds my heart. We have been courting for a many days on the Mayflower. I hope by the time that we are married, you will have come.
With Love,
Elizabeth Ann Butten
Hi! Today, (Or whenever you read this post,) I am going to tell you about what I did with Alice since last Alice post; We (Meaning my partner and I,) have been making the script for the Alice comic. We are taking text out of the book, and making some up ourselves. Our chapter is The Queen’s Croquet Ground. My partner and I, c16ts decided to make our Cheshire Cat a rapper, and call him, CC. He is very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very funny! We made a list of good parts of the chapter to make a comic out of, and this is it:
- Painting The Roses
- Procession
- The White Rabbit
- Trouble With The Flamingo
- Cut Of Their Heads
- Animals Run Away
- Cheshire Cat Comes
- Can’t Cut Off A Head Without A Body
- The Duchess Is In Prison
- CC Fades Away
I will show all of my readers the script when we correct it. I think the hardest part so far was to shorten all of the parts we had in text. But so far, I have really enjoyed this comic.
