At the beginning of 2008 my class studied forced immigration. Forced Immigration was when blacks were taken and they immigrated because people needed slaves in America. We learned that the slaves were taken as cargo on ships and then sold to masters. If you read my post Africa is My Home; The Story of Sarah Margru Kinson, you will see that my teacher Monica Edinger wrote a book on forced immigration about a girl on the Amistad ship. I’ve really enjoyed this study and I hope to learn more about this topic.
