Fantastic Mr.Fox is an fine movie. The plot was great but the movie itself was not. There was too much movement and violence. The book is a children’s book and the movie was for older kids. It is fine that they put a twist to the movie by putting in the cousin Kristofferson, but if Kristofferson has to make the movie interesting then the book is nothing. I feel that they could have done many other things to make the movie interesting instead of putting the spotlight on Kristopher, Boggis Bunce and Bean. Another thing that bugged me was the size of Rat. The Rat was about the size as Mr.Fox. It was not a big deal but just a comment. This movie was rated PG. They replaced every bad word by saying “cuss” and as I said before there is violence. There were some great voice actors in this movie, George Clooney and Meryl Streep. I think they did an amazing job playing their role. In the end it was a great movie.
I would Rate the movie 7 out of 10
Luv ya Bunches by Lauren Myracle is about four very different girls. Violet, a new girl who’s mom is in a mental hospital. Katie-Rose, a intense girl who loves to be behind a video camera. Yasaman, a muslim girl who gets teased all the time and made her own website. And a girl named Camilla who is a popular kid in school and has two moms. They don’t have anything in common but then they become best friends effected by mean girls and the website Yasaman made. This is a girly gossip book. The book revolves around Tally the Turtle which is a stuffed animal. This book is the smallest bit inappropriate but it is a great book.
This book is a fun and very interesting. This book was recommended to me because Ms.Edinger wanted to see what I thought compared to adults which think that elementary school kids should not read the book because of the lesbian mothers but in my point of view there is nothing wrong with it.
I would recommend this book to girls the age of 10-16.
I would rate this book a 8.5/10
Show Off is an amazing book by Sarah Hines Stephens and Bethany Mann. It is a book of how to do 224 things one step at a time! It has about one thing that will touch everyone. You can create a fake wound to weaving a friendship bracelet. It was fun reading through the book and looking at so many different things that I could do. I tried squeezing an egg into a bottle. It was fun to do and it motivated me to do more! This would be a good book for parents to look at when they want to entertain their kids.
I would rate this book a 9 out of 10.
Where the Wild Things Are is a good movie. The only problem is there is not an appropriate age to see this movie. It could be good for all ages but there would be something wrong for each age group. Originally the book is for kids ages 0-6 but the movie puts a little twist on this old story. This movie is too sad and violent for kids 1-8 years old. But then it is too childish for people of the ages 11-101. It may seem fine for viewers 10 years old to about 16 because it would remind them of their childhood from when they read the story. Having said that, there is no certain age group for this movie. The movie might seem very confusing, sad, violent or scary but it is worth an hour and forty-five minutes of your life.
It is a touching movie even though there are some down sides to it. It is also sweet how Max has a great relation with “The wild things”. The ending is when you get mixed feelings. So sad that Max leaves but so great that he goes back home to his family.
I would rate this movie a 5 1/2 out of 10.

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead is a really good but confusing book. It is a book about a sixth grade girl named Miranda who lives in New York City. She is living life how any sixth grade girl would live in NYC. Then one day she gets a mysterious note that says…
“I am coming to save your friend’s life, and my own.
I ask two favors. First, you must write me a letter.”
Then these notes keep coming. She starts to think outside of the box. Then she noticed that something is going to happen. But she is too late.
This book has people who start out to be no one but then turn into the reason why what’s happening is all happening. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a mystery and just a pinch of drama.
This is so exiting! My first post! I am a member of the one and only Book Bloggers Club at Dalton. For every book I read in book bloggers I will blog about it.
