Your comic is coming along beautifully. It was very clever how you covered the drawn speech bubbles, but now that you have some extra time maybe you can fix them in Photoshop after all. Fantastic work, both of you!

Thanks for reading Thomas' words. I would not like to live in the Middle Aees, but let me tell you, health care is the #1 reason. It's amazing to me how little they knew, and it also makes me wonder if some of the things we do now that we think are good for us will change in the future. Will we always drink milk for strong bones and healthy bodies? There's some interesting research being done every day. Yeah for modern medicine. And yeah for you making Thomas come alive for me. Thanks, Carol

You did such a nice job! I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I did! We are so happy children are performing the voices - the Newberry Committee will be performing for Laura Amy Schlitz in June (Shhh! It's a surprise for her!) Keep up the good work!

I read Joey Pigza this year, but I didn't realize that it was a part of a series until I read your post this evening. What are the titles of the other books in the series, as1? Why didn't you like them as much?

Wow, as1!

You really wrote a ton about this story! I was glad to see how you went back and made some revisions and then added so, so SO much more. It is quite a story isn't? Sad in places, but how wonderful she made it home. Don't forget that some of what I wrote, I made up. For example, we don't know why her father pawned her. I imagined that it have been for something extreme like food.

Thanks for this wonderful post!
