I hadn’t realized from others’ reviews that the letters to Tovah were in the book margins. That is a very good detail. I like that the author used quotes from Pushkin, as he sounds a bit gloomy and I am not sure I would read a whole book by him, but the quotes give the story an authentic flavor. A very nice review.

You used the same Pushkin quote as me and as am. it really gives you a taste about immigration. You give a good sense about just how badly the Russians treated the Jews in 1919. Good post!

I think that you did a good job describing LETTERS FROM RIFKA. I also put a quote from pushkin in my review. If I hadn’t read it I would maybe read it. The way you did it was good because you did it in order.

Wow, Russia is very far away! How long did it take your mom to come here? Where in Russia did she come from?
