Wow, you are one prolific writer! (And reader, too, I know). I had not heard about this happening. My daughter is very interested in science and animals so I am going to share this info with her.

P.S. I also heard you reading your poem and you did a good job.

That's a great letter!

Thanks for providing a kid's point of view about this book and all the fuss about it. A lot of times, adults don't think kids are smart enough to understand things, so it's important for the kids to stand up for themselves and each other.

When I was in the 6th grade, my school principal took a book out of our library ("Daddy Long Legs" by Jean Webster), and like you, I read it anyway and couldn't figure out what he thought was wrong with it. Fortunately, my parents helped me stand up for the kids in my school, and we got the book put back in the library.

Hey M- good job. What I liked best was that you gave real information about real people (your class) instead of imagining what might happen with students your age. Excellent work.

Well done! I am a media specialist in Lilburn, GA (can you find that on the map?) and I am going to talk to my 4th grade classes about you and how you wrote a letter to the newspaper about what you believe in, maybe it will inspire some of my students to write to the newspaper also.
Keep on writing and reading!!

Your reviews are packed with enthusiasm and details. Kudos to you!

Have you read THE NEVERENDING STORY by Michael Ende? If you like fantasy books with dragons, give it a try. You'll meet an adorable luckdragon named Falkor.

Tell your buddy that she or he did a good job. What a nice idea to continue this project in the next school year.

I finally got to read this and liked it very much. You are right it is a lot about time, in an interesting way. I recently read Larklight which is another recent fanatasy book- you might like it. But my all time fantasy favorites at about the same age were-
The Diamond in the WIndow by Jane Langton (this is a little about time and the first in a series, but this is the only one I like)
and Tom's Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce (I might have spelled that name wrong) and this is also about time, actually intersecting times. My daughter loved this book too.
Happy reading. (I know you are not supposed to respond to strange adults- I think that is a good rule. So I will look forward to more of your reviews to find out what you are reading.)
