I also found that in the book, Dorothy's trip to Oz was more trecherous than the movie. I wonder why they choose to make Dorothy's shoes ruby red...

Very cool. As I know your father I was quite interested in reading your book. I also think it is fantastic that you were able to share so much cool information about your dad.

If this was Angel Island in San Francisco Bay then I have seen it many, many times. I don't think I remembered that it was used as an admittance point for immigrants like Ellis Island. How interesting. Good job.

I really enjoyed The Journal of Wong Ming Chung. I agree
that it is a great work of historical fiction. I also really like the sentence “ Its sides shone in the sun so it looked like a silver arrow.”.

Did you really like "The Journal of Wong Ming-Chung"? I kind of liked it. I thought that the beginning was kind of slow but then it got better. What book are you reading right now? I am going to read the Golden Compass but right now I am reading a book called Things Not Seen. It is by Andrew Clements and is about a boy who wakes up one day and finds himself invisisble. He meets a blind girl and they try to figure out the mystery together. If you want some good book recommendations just go to my blog, c15md
