C15HU,

Great Story!! I thought it was very interesting and detailed. I ask everyone this question but, what gave you the idea to write this story? It was so creative! I would tell anyone to read yor story!

Best,

You are right that you have to be careful what personal details you write about on the web. I hope she took your advice in the helpful spirit in which it was meant.

That’s a great letter!

Thanks for providing a kid’s point of view about this book and all the fuss about it. A lot of times, adults don’t think kids are smart enough to understand things, so it’s important for the kids to stand up for themselves and each other.

When I was in the 6th grade, my school principal took a book out of our library (”Daddy Long Legs” by Jean Webster), and like you, I read it anyway and couldn’t figure out what he thought was wrong with it. Fortunately, my parents helped me stand up for the kids in my school, and we got the book put back in the library.

Thank you for writing this letter to the NY Times. I am a member of the 2007 Newbery committee and we appreciate your support. It is good to know that readers like you are not only thoughtful in your reading, but are also willing to speak up. Keep up the good work!

I think you and your classmate did a very good job on the letter. You stated the data and then your position. Very good.

Well done! I am a media specialist in Lilburn, GA (can you find that on the map?) and I am going to talk to my 4th grade classes about you and how you wrote a letter to the newspaper about what you believe in, maybe it will inspire some of my students to write to the newspaper also.
Keep on writing and reading!!

I love The BSC! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed this book. I read and collected these when they came out - before you were BORN. Weird to think of that, huh?

Tell your buddy that she or he did a good job. I liked hearing about the "I am from" poems.
