One of our primary goals here at The Dalton School is to cultivate our students’ ability to engage in informed and constructive dialog. We want them to be able to communicate their ideas in clear and concise prose that effectively conveys their intentions as well as the context of their words. We are working to teach students how to take responsibility for their words in the physical absence of a moderating authority figure. Faculty spanning all three of out divisions (First Program, the Middle School, the High School) are using blogs to enable students to talk to each other beyond the confines of the classroom.
