Server Migration Complete
We’ve migrated our web services (most notably moodle, blogs, and wikis) to a new server. These sites should now be faster and more reliable than before.
We’ve migrated our web services (most notably moodle, blogs, and wikis) to a new server. These sites should now be faster and more reliable than before.
The database back-end for blogs.dalton.org, wikis.dalton.org, and moodle.dalton.org has been moved to a new server. We expect that this will decrease response times and improve the stability of these websites.
Blogs.dalton.org is now running on the latest version of WordPress Mu. This is a substantial upgrade, and you will notice the change as soon as you log in. If you are currently running a blog at blogs.dalton.org, a New Lab member will be in touch to help you get acclimated to the new system and make sure that your blog is configured properly.
Two new plugins have been added to blogs.dalton.org, Flickr Manager and Flickr Photo Gallery
For help using this plug-in please contact the New Lab
We’ve moved blogs.dalton.org from our old Windows 2000 server to a newer Linux server. This should improve reliability and eliminate the random crashing we’d previously experienced. If you have problems with this site, please contact the New Lab.
The YAPB Plug-in is now working. More info can be found a:

With the recent WordPress Mu upgrade the number of theme available to Dalton bloggers has expanded to 65! A few are still being debugged.
We have finished upgrading to WordPress Mu version 1.2.3, which is more or less equivalent to WordPress 2.2.1. Thanks for your patience. Please email blogs.admin@dalton.org if you encounter a problem.
In the last year blogs have really taken off as an educational environment. To accommodate this rapid growth the entire blogging system is being upgraded from WordPress to WordPress Mu (multi-user). There will be a lot of improvements but also some interruptions in blog service. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email the blog administrator
